Generally when I think Of clearity I definitely see those traits in Matt's just because Matt's is so clear and he has more than enough piosts and they are all so concise and bluntly to the point. Matt has a knack with all his postings of using general laxed, language but still being incredibly clear with his language and brief. His postings have a nice flow that is refreshing and nice, almost fun to read.

Olipou

I don't really fully understand oulipo to be honest I know it uses constraints with languages that is what strucks me as interesting the fact that it can control the languge . You can have an intense poem of such and the Olipou.......totally re-works it ion such a strong way as to re-imaging the poem usung the existing language. As re-inventing a new poem of sorts. It totally re-structers everything from top to bottom. From the Meter, to the Rhymes, to the complete flow is manipulated. It seems to me that, Generally, Olipou utilizes any contraints to very extreme limits to heighten the text and the language. In my opinion I feel that mostly of the examples shown that the Olipou versions were arguably better than the original.

On-line Gaming

Ok So I don't know alot about on-line gaming..I barely have time in my busy ass life to check my email regularly but I must say that lately the rumblings around online gaming has been penetrating my little earth bubble quite a bit lately... Over Thanksgiving I got to watch this special on gaming in general it was like an MTV news special on the ever-growing "Hobby" in the special, There were living gaming conventions where competitors met up at a Hotel and the Hotel hosted this gaming convention and like I guess the best of the Best fought it out and the winner won like a prize and a title. One guy won like 900.00 dollars and mainly the special showed how some people make a living off it --winning at these like competitions and such..it was crazy to watch as someone who is completely unattached to the "fad"/ "Phenomenon". It also showed how these kids like "train" before a competition almost like a boxer or something getting ready for a big match and they have like strained relationships with their signifigant others over the gaming and such. A lot of it started overseas and I guess is just starting to hit a fever-pitch State-side. Last semseter I took a class that revolved around computer/internet hacking/pirating and such and this kid form I believe Korea did a presentation on the gaming Hoopla bt from his perspective of his homeland where Gaming is like a way of life ( A lot of these games are created there and such) He told this horror story of how one guy actually dropped dead because he was competing wioth people at like one of those Korean Internet/gaming cafe's or something with some people and he like never took a break or anything ....He just kept going and going for like 3 or 4 days or so with no breaks no going to the bathroom , no eating, no water and his body just gave out after a few short days he died while Gaming for days..... Crazy. But again out there gaming cafes exists, games are born there teh culture is festering in a revolution of thsi gaming world It's everywhere there! Hearing about this from a young kid from there made it really real for me. But againg I think it's great for some who are finding success in it..I mean if some people can make a living off it then Jack-pot! Me, I could never be a gamer.. I think your brain has to work a certain way to do it a way in which my brain does not. I can't spend hours reading gamer magazine . I don't have that kind of focus to play for jhopurs against oponent after oponent, nor do I have the patience. But I respect those who can and do.

Custom Generator Proposal

I am interested in creating an Actor's monologue Generator. Basically, the idea is that as an actor it is very hard to find monologues that "fit" you either to perform for an acting class or for a big upcoming audition. So what I'd like to do is have this Monologue Generator where actors can access it and type in what kind of actor they are( Their type I.e. Leading lady, Best friend , Comic side-kick, Classical- comedic, Classical- serious, Ingiunue, Dramatic actor/actress, Character actor/actress, Etc) They type in their race/ethnicity and, finally, possibly their height. The Generator computes all this information (Somehow) and It randomly produces with a series/lists of words, based off the information inputted by the actor, The Perfect Monologue for that specific actor. The monologue is perfectly inline with what kind of actor they are and what kind of speech that will show their chops off well and hopefully win them either great success in class with their acting coach or win them some sort of part in some theatre somewhere.
I know this idea is a bit flawed and it has the possibility for major mistake but As an actor...This would be so cool and greatly needed and very successful.

The I-Ching Process/ Results

The I-Ching was crazy . I mean clearly it's mostly like opinion-based you know or I guess luck-based or just plain old random. But anyway I found a lot of my results to be pretty spot-on honest I am kind of going through a funk period and it is premature and it stated that I pretty much must proceed with caution and It was correct.

Press forward only in small issues, being aware of peoples anxieties. With such careful progress, success can arise

This is really strong "advice" Reading my I-Ching results actually opened me up to the notion of change in my life and seeking the next step. Not to sound too over-philosophical but this is what I got from the I-Ching result In a totally cheesy way, It put a lot of things in perspective for me, honestly.
The idea of change kept being mention and there is a lot of change going on around me, I have some sicck relatives all of a sudden, one of my roomates is moving out, I'm about to go back home away from my friends and comforts out here, I've lost some friends lately (due to just shifting feelings)
The whole process of actually flipping the coins, I found crazy and random...but like I mention the results have been somewhat priceless................

The I-Ching

Numbers after six throws equals to I-ching hexagram 3 on www.dreamhawk.com

Hexagram 3:

Hexagram Three
Chun (Pro: Jwên - vowel so short as to be almost non-existent ) - Initial Difficulty
Difficulty presents itself at the very outset. But although there is turmoil, order and growth can arise out of confusion.
The symbol of this hexagram is a blade of grass emerging from the soil and pushing against an obstacle as it grows. Therefore, although the difficulty in regard to the question is real, the obstacle can be overcome and success attained.
The difficulties faced produce confusion and a flood of anxiety, but can lead to power and success. Persistence through the confusion leads to the reward, not in a new direction but in strengthening the old.
Do not be overly impatient in this issue, as this may hinder rather than help the progress toward resolution. Gradually bring order out of the tangle. Aim for a solution rather than a deepening of the difficulty.
Inner strength will emerge and certainty will be regained. Therefore trust the internal power of regaining balance and moving on toward the positive.
See it as something coming to birth that has initial hindrances which are only temporary. Remember that what is being dealt with is still in its early stages and vulnerable. So care for the situation until it strengthens. This may take some diplomacy or carefulness because of heightened feelings.
Key words: Initial difficulty overcome by patient perseverance.
The Moving Lines.
1. Although uncertainty has arisen at the very start of the endeavour, do not make rash judgements or moves. Press on to consolidate the position. Seek help with humility.
2. Running to and fro impatiently does not resolve this issue. Do not accept the first help that appears. Aim at something that satisfies all the needs. If the query is about relationship, patience is still indicated. But this will be well rewarded.
3. The impatience to attain our desire may make us press on to a situation in which we feel lost. Do not go forward any further under these impulses. This would lead to trouble. Best to stop the chase.
4. Action is called for. There has been a separation and now one must act to bring unity. Make the first move, even if it means some self denial. Accept help without pride. The right help can lead to success.
5. Completion cannot be easily brought about. People interpose and distort this great undertaking. Press forward only in small issues, being aware of peoples anxieties. With such careful progress, success can arise.
6. There may be tears shed over this issue, or blood sweat in the heat. A sense of failure and separation may bring the desire to give up. It is a period of change, not defeat. Attempt to find what is calm within you until there is change.

Reading Assignment

ok J.Brown I didn't understand the reading assignment in the text at all.. Extremely dense.Ok. Out of control. but what I can gather here and there is sparse but the ideology behind authorship.... who owns property and words as an example after it becomes like the public domain of the internet.? well these new internet-generated programss totally throw ownership out the window...or if it doesnt do that it interesting re-creates something. Take for example the re-reindering with Sollfrank's Net.art Generators of Warhol's flower picture...Or to take the notion even further, the Meme's revolution....Meme-ing pretty much did the same thing that Sollfrank's net.art generators did exccept with text combined with images. The text was revised with the images still intacted. The new text gives the images whole new meanings. I think it actually isn't an issue of ownership but really thes new internet forms are really about just revision and re-styling.
